Well, I've always been one to love your art, and this piece is no exception. You've got this certain... flare to your style that no one else I watch has. It's not that you're better than them all, but it's just so unique!
Personally, I love pictures to do with Gods/Goddesses and mythological things like that. The way you did the background looks very meticulous, but the detail makes the two wolves stand out very well. Which is good of course, because you always want your focal point to stand out of the background.
The way you've outlined them both is very mesmerizing as well. It's like you get caught in the glow they have and want to keep looking at the picture... This is another goal one should always try to reach for: making people stare. Along with the outlining, I love the color around each of the wolves' eyes. It's a very lovely touch to the piece.
What I really don't care for is the nose of the black wolf. It's a bit too ... protruding? That's the word. O.o Maybe I'm being nit-picky, but I keep staring at it and its drawing my eyes away from the whole thing which I don't like.
Lastly, I'll add that the concept is a bit cliche. I'm meaning no offense at all either, because the artwork is beautiful. It's just that you see a lot of light/dark themed things around dA all the time. Of course, it most likely couldn't be helped because of the nature of these two creatures: One being of light and the other of dark, but I was just making a point to tell you what I think. There could possibly be a more original way to set up a light/dark picture, but I have no clue how you'd do it in a different way either. I'll tell ya if I get any ideas.
Overall: GORGEOUS! You do a lovely job in all of your art, and I hope you continue with amazing pieces like this for as long as you're on dA.
I think this is beautiful, I absolutely love the imagery. The "light and dark" theme has been used a lot, but I still find it very powerful.
The light lining around both of the figures is a very nice effect. The style, and anatomy are appealing, as usual. The background is intricate and it complements the rest of the piece very well.
I'm not really very good at pushing why I like certain aspects of pieces, but I assure you that I really like this overall despite the upcoming criticisms:
The first thing that I notice is that the image seems to be washed out. Maybe I'm just a big fan of contrast, but the white wolf seems far too gray and has no areas of real highlight, unless you count the before mentioned lining. I think this would be much more powerful if there were some stronger whitish/bluish areas of light breaking into his face (And creating some nice shadows). As is, he blends into the background far too much.
The second thing I notice, is that the sun carries much more weight than the moon does in this. On first inspection, I actually had trouble finding the moon at all. It doesn't carry such a prominent aura, and isn't strategically positioned in the negative space around the figures.
I love the contrast you have going, and the glow around Hati and Skoll is fantastic!

Sure but under one condition - I would like to see some photos of the finished tattoo. I really enjoy seeing how my works turn out in this very difficult medium
