Pancake found!So there was this plushie that I really liked when I was a kid. It was my favourite plushie. I've nicknamed him Placek (Pancake in Polish). He got thrown away nearly 10 years ago by the evil beast also know as my mum. I still miss him tough. This is exactly how he looked like:
I'm offering 500 :points: for finding a picture of this kind of toy and 1000  :points: for information where they can still be bought.
It was produced in late 80's or early 90's. If there are still some of these in existence this is probably the only way to catch a trail of them.

Some of you asked me how was my birthday. The answer is - pretty sucky. I had to spent the whole weekend working to meet the deadline of a contest. I went to sleep at 8 am but I made it. God bless coffee and being young. Hopefully I'll make up for it this weekend. I'll get drunk or something.

So this is the skinny.
:bulletred: First and foremost, we have gone through my caps, and I have had a variety restored.
The only one that should have been restored but wasn't, was not restored because it had been deleted for too long. So, for some of you, it may not be possible to restore your wrongfully-deleted caps. Yes, there is a time limit on your removed deviations for restoration, and it's apparently a short one. May 31st was when I first began my ticket, when said cap was first removed, and it was properly answered well after the time limit had expired (almost two months after I began the ticket). Isn't that alarming? We all know how long it takes the Help Desk to answer tickets, especially when it comes to policy inqui
Can someone explain "renders" to me?I've been bumping into this more an more so I decided to share my RAEG.
So there is  this group of people on dA who take some already existing art and cut out the backgrounds. That's all. They find some artwork, usually anime fanart, cut the background out, add their own watermark and BAM post it to their galleries  as a free to use stocks without the permission of the original authors.
What's most infuriating there is almost always a disclaimer such as this one :
Oi, dumbfucks! Yes I'm talking to you. Why should anyone credit you for something that you did not create. You've contributed nothing. You've cut the background out, something that in most cases, can be done basically automatically by a computer program with a little to no human assistance.

I was using cheat codes from the very start - both my parents are artists + my mum was organizing weekend drawing courses in our very house. You can pretty much say I spent my whole childhood in an art school.
When I was in high school I was attending course preparing for exams into the faculty of architecture. This is the course: www.labirynt.pl
During the first and second year at the university we had some drawing/painting/sculpting lessons but they kinda sucked. Besides they were worth only 1/10th of the ECTS points you could get from pretty much any other subject so nobody gave a shit.

I went to bed so late, it was friday, I didn't turn off my computer and left several programs and the web browser open.
Next morning (saturday) my dad phoned a computer specialist because we were having internet conexion problems.

When that guy saw me on bed was like "WTF is all this :iconwtfisthisplz: but this man paid me so I must do my work(?)". He sat on my chair and started to close programs in my pc to work properly. My dad was standing on his right and looking
Today I Almost Quit Art......Until I came to a realisation. I've been too obsession with improvement and getting things done that it was slowly draining me and sucking all the fun out of everything. Feeling like a day was wasted unless I worked on art. Stressing that I wasn't getting anything done. Feeling bad because I wasn't as good as other artists.
Today I just sat there and looked at the stuff I was doing. It was depressing and just felt like work. So I went outside in the sun, with a bunch of silly bunnies all trying to climb over my paper and on to my lap. And Drew what I felt like, instead of what was on my list. And it felt like fun. For the first time in ages I didn't want to throw my paper down in frustration. My art worked. I improved just by sitting and doing something fun. By having the right mind set.
Moral of the story: Draw for fun and tell yourself 'I CAN'. If something is bogging you down draw something different.

At third, today I post photos of my beloved animal. This is a blackbird - in Czech it is kos černý. Kos is a special name for this species and "černý" means black :D
This bird is VERY common in my country. Fortunately, because it is a fantastic creature. I am happy I can meet the literally everywhere - even when I just look out of the window, I have a chance to see even several of them.
Those birds are popular here - they are wonderful, their singing is melodic, loud and very beautiful and blackbirds

People, it is spring and wild animals have babies.
PLEASE! If you find some baby animals in the wild, do NOT come close to them, and ABSOLUTELY do NOT touch them!
Baby animals often seem to be abandoned, but in fact, they do what they are supposed to do: they hide in the grass without moving, waiting for their mother, who is in fact close to them. Baby deers, baby rabbits and another animals do NOT stay with their moms all the time! Their moms feed themselves and then they come to their babies to feed them with milk.
IF YOU TOUCH THOSE BABIES, mothers are scared by human scent, leaving the babies to die!
Every year, workers of all stations for handicated animals are sad and frustrated, because people bring baby animals to them, saying ,,I found this baby deer in grass, it was so alone." If those people saw those babies and went away without touching

But I have to say that the last art-thief who told ME whole made up story about how she took a photo, which in fact belongs to me, totally cracked me up :XD: it was just soooo funny that I even could not report her :XD: she gave me such a good laugh, that I am almost GRATEFUL to her! I wish all art-thieves here on dA would be so stupid and funny :laughing: hahaha! :lol:
Also, one thing really pleased me - I had my public transport ticket on the table. As I always pay for three months, I have to have an ID card with a photo of me. This small ID photo was taken in spring 2011. Next to this card, I had a little pack of another "ID" photos I got for my driving licence. Those photos were taken some week ago, so spring 2012.
I just took 2011 ID photo and compared it with 2012 ID photo.
People, I just gazed at a result!!! :oops:

News, thieves (yay) + ZOO animals - PHOTOSHello ;)
I say that all the time - copyright problems come in waves XD at first, those were those two thieves (dA still has not removed the second stolen picture yet *facepalm*), then I found another three of my photos edited and posted by three different persons without any credit. No prob, all those people removed them or gave credit, when I contacted them. Yesterday, two different persons posted edited photos of my best friend *Allerlei :XD: and today, I found another girl who manipulated few of my photos without any credit. I noticed her and I wait for her reply. And when you look at photography category, it is full of google photos again :roll:
EDIT: people, just a strange thing happened. I usually do not report people if they edited my work and posted it without my permission or without giving credit. I usually inform them and ask for credit. I wait even weeks or months for reply. But when I see such person has been warned several times and simply ignorre it, I do report.

This is a black Tuesday for dA. All my favourite accounts are getting banned one after another. First :iconbutthurtbrigade: and a good chunk of it's members including the fabulous :iconfuhrer-glasses: and :iconstapledslut:. And now even :iconwolfofthunders:

I will have to  completely  reorganise my breakfast schedule because of some overzealous admin. Usually I wake up,  prepare nomnoms, settle in front of the computer and search for some morning drama.  butthurtbrigade was one of my favourite places to acquire my morning dose of concentrated baawws. Now when it is gone  I will be forced to actively search for the dramas elsewhere and I don't like that.

And now for a few days will look like this. Which is mostly inconvenient and you should care because...umm...yes, because yes.

I could be the white knight protecting my precious princess Deviant while you are the big evil dragon. We fight by writing novels of comments back and fourth stating how we don't mean to offend the opposite opinion...but however, we can't help but to do just that

then we can walk away feeling satisfied for thinking we successfully educated the other about how the Deviant/Art in question is completely valid even though we got off on a completely un-related tangent :D and in the process we are being watched by an audience of others that can't help but to munch on the battle that we wage against each other

I tried to feed off drama and now i feel empty inside. But i did enjoyed SS and others, they made drAma fun. I dont consider DA an art page anymore, at least not when half population believes is the bastard child of photobucket and facebook.

Most DA on a nutshell : Art History? ... OH YOU MEAN THE HISTORY CHANNEL,MAN THAT CHANNEL IS BORING.

Being an actual art student going to college and answering stupid drAma on DA is HELL.
